Audio-Technica ATH-AD700
$100.00
Released December, 2005
The Pros:Comfortable design. Affordable price. Great value.
The Cons:Open circum-aural design - poor for use on the go, best used stationary in a quiet location. Potential lack of bass for some listeners. Not the best for small-sized heads.
Universally regarded by head-fi headphone enthusiasts as a good introduction into hi-fidelity headphones, the Audio-Technica ATH-AD700 is a medium priced circum-aural headphone. Presenting a dark, non-fatiguing listening experience, the ATH-AD700 is also very comfortable, an important variable when considering a headphone.

Due to it's open design and large body, the ATH-AD700 is not a good option for travel or listening on the go. Rather, it is much better suited for use in a quieter environment for things such as gaming, watching tv or listening to music.
