JVC HA-RX700

$60.00 Released February, 2008

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Built to be durable and long-lasting. Bass is strong, very clear and with minimal distortion. Large drivers capable of loud sound output if desired.

The Cons:Larger design, a bit awkward for in public. Cord is a bit (too) long for portable use. Ear cup cushions get quite hot.

The JVC HA-RX700 are a pair of full sized headphones with extra bass provided by the large 50mm Neodymium drivers and a frequency response of 8 - 25,000 Hz. These have good bass response for the money, with a Circum-Aural design that completely covers the ears letting little sound escape.

Where to Buy

Recommended for home use due to their size, the HA-RX700 are for audiophiles who enjoy good sound and huge bass, however they can also be used for critical listening situations like audio mixing. Pressure dispersion mesh head pad has been used for extra comfort during long listening sessions, and JVC's own Ring port structure provides high-quality dynamic sound. There is no volume toggle switch on the cord which might deter some, but can be overlooked considering the sound quality and bass response. Sensitivity is rated at 105dB/mW and the maximum input capacity is 1500mW. Stepping down from this model is the HA-RX500 which has a twist action design instead of the pressure dispersion mesh and lesser frequency response with 40mm drivers.
