JVC HA-S700

$60.00 Released February, 2008

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Circum-Aural, ear-surrounding earphones. Frequency response: 8 - 25,000Hz. IPhone compatible plug and 6.6ft extension cord.

The Cons:Strictly mid-fi sound quality. Thin cheap feeling cord.

The JVC HA-S700 are a pair of lightweight headphones that have 40mm Neodymium drivers and an around-the-ear or 'Circum-Aural' design with memory-foam cushions. This means that the earphone cushions surround the ear, also forming a seal that won't let sound escape or outside ambient noise in.

This is a step down form the over-the-ear design HA-S900 with a different look and smaller frequency response and sensitivity, and, instead of the carrying case included with that model a 6.6ft extension cord is provided. The ability to fold up the headphones for travel is the same however and the iPhone compatible cord is included as well. JVC's Ring Port structure is again featured which bonds the diaphragm to the ported ring that controls the diaphragm's movement, giving an improved frequency response. Speaking of which the frequency response for this model is 8 - 25,000Hz and the sensitivity is rated at 101dB/1mW.
