Koss UR29

$30.00 Released May, 2004

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Effectively block outside noise. Able to fold them up for easier transport. Bass is strong, good thumping sound.

The Cons:Volume control in the cord is built flimsy, will break with frequent use. Wiring in the headset is pulled through sharp holes whenever they are folded up, eventually damages the wire.

The Koss UR29 are full-sized stereo headphones featuring a dynamic Mylar constructed driver element and anisotropic ferrite magnet structures to reduce distortion and deliver high volume with low-voltage devices.

The headphones are designed with closed leatherette ear cushions to block out external noise and a padded adjustable headband for a comfortable fit.  The earcups of the UR29 headphones can also be folded in to a compact package for convenient storage.  The headphones have an 8 ft straight cord with an in-line volume control and 3.5mm gold-plated plug and come with a 6.3mm gold-plated adapter.  Compared to Koss' UR40 stereophone the UR29 headphones have a higher impedance but lower-quality build than the UR40.  They are also missing some of the additional features of the UR40 such as the screened earcups and a mesh sling.
