Panasonic RP-DJ600

$60.00 Released August, 2007

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Great option for bass enthusiasts--very strong bass performance for the price. Ear cups are well cushioned and comfortable to wear over long periods. Capable of producing a full, wide sound stage.

The Cons:Treble and mids tend to be weak compared to bass, get drowned out. Dual-sided cord is not at all suitable for comfortable DJ use. Questionable durability--flimsy plastic build that might not hold up to regular use and abuse.

The Panasonic RP-DJ600 is an over-the-ear pair of headphones aimed at DJs. The closed-ear design blocks out external sound and channels the audio directly into the ear. When the wearer needs to free up an ear to monitor another track, a built-in swivel mechanism allows for quick flipping away of the ear piece.

Not a great option if you wear glasses--the ear cups will jam the arms into the side of your head.
